Originally from Durham Martin now spends his time skipping between London and Cambridge while not on tour. You currently can see Martin as Jonathan Harker in his highly anticipated new one man show: Dracula part 1: Jonathan Harker’s Journal.
Most recently Martin played Malvolio in Twelfth Night (Scena Mundi) to huge critical acclaim. He was also Orson Welles in Orson Welles: The Night We Scared America (Kaos Productions), which was a special stage dramatisation of the 1938 radio play The War of the Worlds and the repercussions of the performance, which famously caused panic (and even suicide) in North America.
Martin loves the one-man show genre and adapted his own version of A Christmas Carol five years ago and has toured it every December since. You can find tour dates here.
Other credits include Corvino, Volpone (Scena Mundi); Mortimer, Edward II (Scena Mundi); Uncle, The Turn of the Screw (UK Tour); Duke of Cornwall, King Lear (Rose Playhouse); Raymond, in the new musical, Lonely Hearts (Between the Bars); Henry Bolingbroke, Richard II (Malachite Theatre); Lord Windermere, Lady Windermere’s Fan (UK Tour); Mad Hatter, Finding Alice (UK Tour).
Also a writer, Martin’s published work includes A Christmas Carol in 60 minutes or Less! (Lazy Bee Scripts). He is also the Artistic Director of That’s My Cue Productions.
